Oscar-nominated actress Melissa McCarthy was dismissive of a comment Barbra Streisand left on her Instagram in which the legendary singer asked McCarthy if she was using Ozempic. In fact, she took it as a compliment.
She shared her response on Instagram last Tuesday (31), holding a magazine with a vintage photo of Barbra on the cover. She captioned the post “Barbra Streisand fan club members only.”
“The bottom line is that Barbra Streisand knows I exist. She contacted me and thought I was fine!” said Melissa in a short video.
“I made the day,” she added.
Melissa's post came after Barbra wrote and then deleted her question to McCarthy about weight loss medication.
Barbra addressed her comment, saying she initially opened her Instagram to see photos of the “beautiful flowers” she had received for her birthday last week.
“Just below them was a photo of my friend Melissa McCarthy, who I sang with on my album Encore,” he wrote. “She was fantastic! I just wanted to praise her. I forgot the world is reading!”
Their mutual admiration remains.
