A well-known American economist and professional investor once again lashed out with outrageously harsh criticism of digital currencies.
Charlie Munger, right-hand man of Berkshire Hathaway owner Warren Buffett, often scolds US private companies and businessmen for issuing thousands of new cryptocurrencies. He sees it as “wild capitalism” that is quietly thriving due to large gaps in regulation.
On Wednesday, February 15, at the annual meeting of shareholders of the Daily Journal Corporation, Munger again outrageously criticized digital assets and called anyone who opposes his position idiots.
A professional investor regularly criticizes cryptocurrencies. In early February, he compared them to gambling and called on the US government to impose a ban on digital assets. And in 2022, an economist said that digital assets are “like a venereal disease.”
