“Change won”: Bullrich says Milei represents freedom and progress and celebrates victory

Third place in Argentina’s presidential elections, Patricia Bullrich, from the Juntos por el Cambio coalition, congratulated candidate Javier Milei, through the social network X — formerly Twitter —, for his victory over candidate Sergio Massa, from the Unión por la coalition. Patria, in this second round for president of Argentina.

In the social media post, Bullrich wrote:

“CHANGE WON

Congratulations @JMilei on your resounding and historic triumph. This Sunday the profound change we have been working for for years won. We are millions of Argentines willing to defend the freedom and progress that we fought so hard for and that you managed to represent with clear ideas.

I congratulate you from the bottom of my heart.

A new Argentina begins.

Long live the country!”

During the electoral campaign, Milei on several occasions attacked the Juntos por el Cambio coalition, and has already accused Bullrich, calling her a “bomb thrower”, alluding to the candidate’s time as a guerrilla fighter and her closeness to the Montoneros group.

Bullrich filed a complaint against him for defamation and slander, and claimed that Milei made the accusations “knowing they were false” and that he only sought to “obtain an electoral advantage based on lies.”

In an interview with CNN in September, Bullrich called Milei a “theorist without a program.”
