For quite a long time, there have been rumors on the net that Changan wants to enter the Russian market, and now, in just six months, the manufacturer is releasing the third model – first the Uni-K and CS55 Plus crossovers were presented, and now it’s time for an updated urban ” SUV” CS35 Plus. Initially, the original first generation of the CS35 car has been sold in China since 2019, but in 2021 the manufacturer carried out an impressive restyling – and it was the updated second generation model that arrived in Russia, attracting the attention of the audience with a stylish body and more.
For example, the front side of the body boasts a rather stylish grille, a completely new bumper, stylish LED optics and decorative “nostrils”. At the rear of the vehicle there is a brake light, represented by a single LED strip, which is stretched along the entire body through the fifth door – just like on expensive competitors. Also, the manufacturer decided not to hide the exhaust pipes inside the bumper, which gives the crossover a more sporty appearance. But, of course, the most interesting details of the crossover in the cabin.

The manufacturer decided to completely redo the interior of the vehicle – a new steering wheel, door cards, armrests and more. Even in the cabin, you can see a new display of the multimedia system – now it is located higher, it also acts as a climate control system, but the diagonal, like the original model, is 10 inches. At the same time, the dashboard is virtual – this task is performed by a 7-inch display that displays all the necessary information. It looks quite expensive, especially the version with a black interior and red accents.

But under the hood of Russian buyers, a pleasant surprise awaits – if in China the model after restyling remained on the same naturally aspirated engine with a volume of 1.6 liters and a power of 128 horsepower, then the updated version in Russia will be sold with a turbocharged 1.4 TGDI engine with a capacity of 150 horsepower . The engine is paired with a seven-speed “robot” with two clutches and runs on AI-92 gasoline. However, it will be possible to purchase only a front-wheel drive model, although this is not a problem for an urban crossover.
In total, two configuration options have now been brought to Russia – the base Advance costs 2,280,000 rubles, and the top Tech will have to pay 2,430,000 rubles.
