The Central Bank (BC) informed that it will carry out a new phase for consultations of forgotten values in banks and financial institutions, but has not yet set a date.
According to the bank, the timetable for the next stages of the Amounts Receivable System (SVR)will be evaluated after the start of the current phase.
However, when a query is made on the site and there are no amounts to be received, the user is informed to return on May 2, “in the new query period”.
The Values Receivable System (SVR) page was previously launched on January 24, but the high demand caused the BC to withdraw the page from the air a day later.
It is estimated that there are around R$ 8 billion of forgotten money, such as funds from current or savings accounts closed with available balance. As of 12 noon this Monday (14), the site had registered consultations on more than 20 million CPFs and CNPJs.
The new site requests the creation of a silver or gold account on Portal Gov.br to authorize the withdrawal, in case the customer has forgotten values.
The Central Bank considers the following sources for the redemption of values:
- Current or savings accounts closed and not withdrawn;
- Undue collection of fees or credit obligations provided for in a term of commitment signed with the BC;
- Shares of capital and apportionment of net surplus of credit union members;
- Extinct consortium groups.
With the second phase, the following will be included:
- Undue charges of fees or credit obligations not provided for in the term of commitment;
- Closed prepaid and postpaid payment accounts with available balance;
- Accounts closed at brokers and securities dealers;
- Other situations that result in amounts to be returned recognized by financial institutions.
