Cemig’s adjusted net income totals R$993 million in the 4th quarter

Cemig reported a net income of R$993 million in the fourth quarter of 2021, up 68.3% from the R$590 million recorded in the same period of the previous year. In the accumulated of 2021, the company’s net profit advanced 31.04%, totaling R$ 3.753 billion.

Between October and December, earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization (Ebitda) adjusted by the exclusion of non-recurring items increased 30.4% on an annual basis of comparison, to R$ 1.492 billion.

In 12 months, Cemig’s Ebitda stood at R$ 5.933 billion, up 21.7%. Cemig’s net revenue in the fourth quarter increased 32.9% to R$9.657 billion.

In the period, the gross supply of energy totaled 11,690,155 megawatt-hours (MWh), up 0.6% over the same period last year. The energy billed by Cemig Geração e Transmissão (GT) was 7,990,017 MWh, an increase of 1% over the same period in 2020.
