Catholic priest in home restraint for sexual abuse of minors

Catholic priest Tsiro Panigara, 48, was now put into home restriction on the charge of sexual abuse of minors. According to the press, this priest allegedly abused sexually minor children involved in his parish activities in the wider Bresia city from 2013 to 2014 and last year. Investigations began last year after a teenager’s complaint, who “opened” to a young teacher. The bishop of the area had decided to remove the priest from his parish last January, shortly after the investigations were launched. “For all of us, it is always important to protect our fellow humans,” said the Catholic bishop of the Pirantonian Tremolda area. According to the newspaper Corriere della Sera, “the faithful of the area San Paulo, where Father Tsiro Panigaras, have been left unhappy and shocked by all this story.” Source: RES
