The singer Carlinhos Brown lamented this Thursday (24) the death of former the Voice Kids, Karen Silva at 17, who was hospitalized after suffering a Hemorrhagic stroke.
“My feelings,” wrote the artist in the publication that reported what happened in the artist’s official profile. Karen Silva was part of Carlinhos Brown’s team by participating in the program that revealed children’s talents in 2020.
Death was announced on social networks by the artist’s official profile. According to the note of regret, Karen had been hospitalized for days at the São João Batista Hospital in Volta Redonda, after the stroke episode.
“Karen enchanted Brazil with his powerful voice and a remarkable presence in childhood, when he participated in The Voice Kids in 2020. Since then, he followed a light trajectory, uniting talent, charisma and representativeness in each step,” says the note.
“More than a promising artist, Karen was a symbol of empowerment, especially for black girls who found inspiration and strength to dream. Your music, your message and your joy leave deep marks on everyone who knew her and accompanied her journey,” he continues. “At this moment of immense pain, we sympathize with your parents, Manoella and Fernando, with friends, family and fans. May the memory of your light continue to guide us.”
The funeral and burial of the singer were held this Thursday (24) at the Portal da Saudade Cemetery, in Volta Redonda (RJ). The information was confirmed to CNN by the artist’s press office.
