Canal Brasil announces programming in honor of Fernanda Montenegro; check it out

Canal Brasil announced a special program for this Wednesday (16) in honor of the actress Fernanda Montenegro who turns 95 years old.

“October 16th is the day that Brazil reveres the majestic actress Fernanda Montenegro. In 2024, she turns 95 years old with a career that is a true lesson in Brazilian theater, television and cinema. To try to pay homage to one of the greatest actresses we have in the world, we prepared a marathon with an entire day dedicated to feature films from different stages of her career,” the channel wrote on social media.

Throughout the day, several of the artist’s films will be shown, such as “They Don’t Wear Black Ties” (1981), “The Hour of the Star” (1985), “Central do Brasil” (1998), “O Auto da Compadecida” (2000), “Redeemer” (2004) and more.
