Canada: The gunman who killed homeless people is dead

Three dead, including the alleged perpetrator, is her tally of an attack that caused alarm in the town of Langleynear Vancouver, at Canadaaccording to local police.

Around 06:15 (local time), authorities sent an emergency message to residents’ cellphones, describing the alleged attacker as a Caucasian man with dark hair, who was wearing brown overalls and a blue-green T-shirt with a red logo on the right sleeve.

As Canadian media reported, the gunman shot homeless in different parts of the city.

A second alert was sent to residents’ cell phones, stating that the suspect “was no longer a threat”. The alleged perpetrator of the attack was shot dead by the police.

The motive for the attack remains unclear for now, according to a police representative.

Gun attacks are not as common in Canada as in the neighboring United States of America. One of Canada’s worst bloodbaths in recent years took place in 2020, when a gunman driving a fake police car killed 22 people in Portapeak, Nova Scotia.
