Members of the British royal family are of few words, but sometimes they convey their messages through symbols, such as the color of Elizabeth II's famous hats.
A few days ago, during her visit to the Isle of Man, Queen Camilla showed off a blue look. But she was the one who attracted the attention above all her enormous brooch of sapphires and diamondsthe. A jewel that could be a subtle demonstration of support for the daughter-in-law, Kate Middletonthe subject of much speculation surrounding his alleged passing after abdominal surgery last January.

On this occasion Camilla visited community groups and gave a speech in the town of Douglas.
According to several jewelry experts quoted in the British press, the brooch weighs at least 40 carats and is worth approx 10.1 million dollars. The jewel was commissioned by Prince Albert and presented to Queen Victoria on their wedding day in 1840.
The resemblance to the Princess of Wales' engagement ring is no coincidence: the brooch is said to have inspired Kate Middleton's engagement ringoriginally given by Prince Charles to Princess Diana.
