Businessman Fernando Sastre de Andrade Filho, 24 years old, who was driving the Porsche that had an accident in São Paulo in the early hours of last Sunday (31st), presented himself to the police on the afternoon of this Monday (1st).
The information was confirmed by lawyer Carine Acardo Garcia, who represents the businessman. He performed at the 30th DP (Tatuapé).
Fernando was driving a Porsche 911 Carrera GTS, valued at more than R$1 million, which crashed into the back of a Renault Sandero that was driven by app driver Ornaldo da Silva Viana, 52 years old.
Viana was rescued and taken by firefighters to Tatuapé municipal hospital, but he succumbed to his injuries and died. The businessman was removed from the scene of the accident by his mother. She said she would take him to a hospital for an alleged minor mouth injury.
However, the police found no record of the businessman entering the hospital where the woman said she would take him. Due to his removal from the scene of the incident, it was not possible to perform a breathalyzer test on him.
A CNN asked the businessman's defense for a position on the case, but has not yet received a response. The lawyer only confirmed that she went to the police station.
