Bus falls from bridge in Italy: At least 20 dead, including children

Tragedy occurred in Italy and specifically a few kilometers outside of Venice, as one bus fell from a viaduct, killing at least 20 people, including children.

Firefighters and first aid services rushed to the area. There are injuries and the death toll is likely to rise.

According to Italian media, the bus of the Veneto region’s intercity transport crashed into electric railway cables, located under the viaduct.

According to the Italian public television Rai, the injured from the fall of the bus in the city Master of Veneto there are ten of them and they have been transferred to various hospitals in the area. The dead, according to the information so far, are twenty and among them, there are allegedly two children.

The mayor of Venice Luigi Bugnaro made it known that he declared Wednesday a day of mourning in his city. At the same time, the mayor underlined that “it was a long-distance bus transporting tourists to a local campsite”.

The Italian Prime Minister expressed her support to the families of the victims Georgia Meloni.
