Russian authorities reported on Tuesday that Ukrainian military reached the Russian region of Kursk on the Ukraine border with dozens of drones.
The onslaught killed an elderly woman, wounded nine people and caused fires at various buildings at the region’s administrative center.
A video of a witness, obtained by the Reuters news agency, shows fires by reaching residential buildings. The data were apparently caused by drone impacts.

Reuters was able to confirm the location of the video by analyzing the design of buildings and windows, trees, parking lots and stroke of the streets, which corresponded to the archive and satellite images of the area.
The agency could not check the filming date. However, Russian authorities said an attack occurred on Tuesday (15).
The Russian Ministry of Defense, which releases data on enemy attacks, reported that 109 drones were slaughtered over the Kursk region at night.
“Kursk has been the target of a massive enemy attack at night,” said the region’s administration in a publication in the Telegram messaging app. “Unfortunately, an 85 -year -old woman died.”
A multi -storey apartment building was damaged as a result of the drone attack, with several apartments on fire, Kursk’s acting mayor Sergei Kotlyarov said on Telegram.
Residents were removed to a nearby school, he added.

Drones also reached an ambulance garage, damaging 11 cars, the regional administration said.
On Monday night (14), three people were killed in the region as a result of a Ukrainian drone attack, authorities reported.
Reuters could not verify the reports independently.
There were no immediate comments from Ukraine.
Both Russia and Ukraine dete to target civilians in the war, which began more than three years ago. But thousands of civilians have died in the conflict, the vast majority Ukrainian.
Ukraine attacks on the Russian side
Kursk and other Russian regions on the Ukraine border have been the target of frequent air and terrestrial attacks by Kiev’s forces, which claim to undermine Moscow’s war efforts.
Last year, Ukrainian troops made a raid exceeding the border boundaries in the Kursk region, which is the administrative center.
The Ukrainian forces still remain in parts of the region, although the Russian forces have recaptured much of the lost territory.
