Britney Spears will receive R$ 76 million to tell her story in a new biography

The career saga Britney Spears to be continued. The latest news is the agreement that the singer would have signed with the book publisher Simon & Schuster to write a biography about her, who would receive 15 million dollars, or about R$ 76 million, to tell her story. The information was released this Monday (21) by the website “Page Six”.

The deal, according to a source, would be the biggest of all time, behind only the Obama family biography, which, in 2017, would have surpassed 60 million dollars – the highest known value for non-fiction books.

The news comes a month after the release of her sister Jamie Lynn’s book, titled “Things I Should Have Said”, which sparked outrage from both Britney and her fans.

At the time, the singer expressed herself with a publication on her Twitter, stating that “Lynn did not truly care about her and that she was taking advantage of the whole situation of the case of her guardianship to make money”.

“One of the things that bothers me about what my sister said is that I was out of control. She has never been on my side in these 15 years,” said the artist at the time. Britney was under the guardianship of her father, Jamie Spears, from 2008 to November 2021, during which time he controlled his daughter’s personal and professional life.

“My family has ruined my dreams 100 billion times and tried to make me look crazy. My family loves to put me down and hurt me,” Britney confessed in the post. Since she got rid of guardianship, she has spoken out several times about the treatment she received from her family.
