“Bridgerton”: producer reveals premiere date for season 4

The final episodes of the third season of “Bridgerton” are now available on Netflix. The plot, which portrays the lives of eight inseparable brothers, has already been renewed for a fourth year and Jess Brownell the production’s showrunner, gave a prediction on when the new part of the story could debut.

Term in English, showrunner is used to refer to a position on a television program or series responsible for the entire project, from the initial script to the completion of the story.

In an interview with the North American portal The Hollywood Reporter, Jess said that she and the team are working to deliver the new season as quickly as possible, but that the Season four is not expected to arrive before 2026.

“We are working to try to release the seasons more quickly, but they take eight months to film and then they need to be edited and then dubbed into all the languages. Writing also takes a lot of time, so we’re at an estimated two-year pace, trying to speed up, but somewhere in that period,” the showrunner pointed out.

As for what the plot of the new season will be, or which Bridgerton brother will be the focus this time around, Jess is keeping quiet.

“I almost slipped up a few times, so keep asking and maybe I’ll reveal it,” she commented.

Despite the mystery, Jess said that the script for the new part of the story is almost ready and that it is one of her “best works”.

“I’m really excited about what we’re writing. We’re nearing the end of the writers’ room season, with the scripts. And I feel like it’s some of my best work and my team’s best work. We’ve really cemented our collaboration and are working full steam ahead, so I can’t wait for fans to see what we have,” she concluded.

Three seasons of “Bridgerton” are available on Netflix. A spin-off of the series, titled “Queen Charlotte”, can also be watched.
