Brazilian woman dies after falling from a mountain in the Andes of Peru

a servant of Superior Justice Tribunal (STJ) died last Monday (1st) after a mountain accident in Peru where he spent his vacation.

Maria Lucia Paternostro Rodrigues was a resident of Brasília and the chief advisor to the Court’s Nugepnac for the Management of Precedents and Collective Actions.

During the sessions this Wednesday (3), the ministers of the court, of which Maria Lúcia was a long-time servant, mourned the death of the employee.

According to the president of the STJ, Humberto Martins, a professional stood out for his “exemplary legal knowledge, dedication to work and kindness and helpfulness in everyday life with colleagues”.

In note, the Itamaraty informed that, through the consular sector of the Embassy of Brazil in Lima, it monitors the case and provides appropriate assistance to the family members of the Brazilian national, in accordance with current international treaties and local legislation.
