According to a post on Ana’s social network, the Brazilian went to the city of Zurich. She told the CNN that this was Márcio’s first business trip to Switzerland. On a social network, Ana reported that her husband took two pieces of luggage, one with clothes and the other with products sold by the businessman. She said the two suitcases had been lost and she didn’t know where they were.

The Brazilian Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated on November 17, in a note, that it was monitoring the situation through the Consulate General of Brazil in Zurich. Furthermore, the São Paulo Public Security Secretariat clarified that the Homicide and Personal Protection Sector (SHPP) heard the victim’s wife and forwarded the case to the Federal Police, which would investigate with Interpol.
The following day, sources from the European organization told CNN that Márcio Rodrigues da Silva had passed through Spain, therefore, they gathered information with the Spanish police to find the Brazilian.
Local authorities carried out surveys to identify the route, possible accommodation and use of credit cards, in addition to geolocation, which would take more time.
The date
On Tuesday (21) morning, Márcio’s family issued an official statement stating that he would not be detained in any police station in Europe. According to the publication, searches were carried out in hospitals and morgues, but nothing was found.
However, the family reported at the end of the day that the businessman had been found. His wife, Ana Lúcia, confirmed the information to CNN and said he was “fine, as far as possible.”
After investigations by the Federal Police and Interpol in Brazil, the authorities requested secrecy of the case and, therefore, did not inform the location or the conditions in which Márcio was found.
