Brazil records 103 deaths and more than 13 thousand cases of Covid-19 in 24 hours

Brazil recorded 103 deaths and 13,218 new cases of Covid-19 in the last 24 hours, according to an update from the National Council of Health Secretaries (Conass), held this Sunday (20). With the number, the country reaches 657,205 deaths and 29,630,484 cases.

The moving average of cases for the last seven days was 37,387. The average number of deaths was 304 deaths.

The numbers for the Federal District, Mato Grosso, Paraíba and Tocantins were not updated due to technical problems in accessing the information systems databases.

According to the Ministry of Health, over 59 million Brazilians who are able to receive the booster dose of the Covid vaccine have not yet returned to health posts.

Among the states with the biggest gaps in booster immunization are São Paulo, with 15.7 million arrears; Minas Gerais with 5.3 million; Rio de Janeiro, with 4.9 million; Paraná, with 3 million and Bahia, with 3.6 million.
