The Brazilian economy grew by 0.4% in the third quarter of 2022 compared to the immediately previous period. With the result, Brazil occupies the 24th position in the ranking of the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) worldwide prepared by the consultancy Austin Rating, at the request of CNN 🇧🇷
The country is ahead of other economies such as the UK (38th), which recorded a slowdown of -0.2% in the third quarter.
First in the ranking is China, which grew 3.9% in the period. Next are the Philippines (2nd), with growth of 2.9%, and Saudi Arabia (3rd), with 2.6%.

The world’s largest economy, the United States ranks 15th. In the third quarter, the US economy grew by 0.7%.
The result of the Brazilian economy released this Thursday (1st) is the fifth consecutive positive result after the 0.3% decrease from April to June last year.
Compared to the third quarter of 2021, the increase was 3.6%. With this result, GDP reaches the highest level in the historical series, which started in 1996, and is 4.5% above the pre-pandemic level, recorded in the fourth quarter of 2019.
