EU High Representative Josep Borrell said the people of Gaza urgently need help in any way possible, especially as fears of famine grow. During the press conference he gave after the conclusion of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the EU in Brussels, Mr. Borrell noted that the maritime humanitarian corridor in Cyprus must be developed but at the same time there is a need to facilitate land access from Israel. He said the most effective way to get aid to Gaza is by land, “if we can't do that because there's a limit to the trucks that can get there – and there is a limit, that's clear – if we have ships let's bring aid that way.
