Boris Johnson on Titan submarine in Titanic – ‘Very British death, they are heroes’

At a time when investigations are underway into the causes that led to the failure of his mission submarine Titan to Titanic and several highlight the elaborate security loopholes that led to the tragic end, o Boris Johnson emphasizes that the dead passengers were hours.

In an article he wrote in dailymail.co.uk states that “actually, in our hearts, we knew the ending, that all five brave souls on Titan were dead,” he writes, and emphasizes that “the mystery is over and the moralizing begins.”

Also, among other things, he notes that “this mission was so important and leftists and everyone else should appreciate it. Yes, there were dangers and warnings. But any great progress must inevitably involve experiments and equipment that may seem, in retrospect, dangerously inadequate.

“Hamis Harding and his colleagues were trying to take a new step for humanity, to popularize underwater travel, to democratize the ocean floor. They knew the risks. Harding and his friends died for a cause – to expand the frontiers of human knowledge and experience – that is quintessentially British and fills me with pride,” he wrote, among other things.
