British Prime Minister Boris Johnson praised Ukraine for resisting Russian aggression during a surprise visit to Kyiv on Wednesday and said now was not the time to push forward a “fragile negotiation plan”, Reuters reported.
Johnson, who is due to leave office next month, spoke at a joint press conference with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky during his fourth trip to the country this year and third since the war began on February 24.
“This is not the right time to push forward some flimsy negotiating plan,” Johnson said, pledging that Britain and Ukraine’s allies would stand “with” Kyiv and the Ukrainian people.
