New cars continue to rise in price in Russia. Following AvtoVAZ, UAZ, Renault, Volkswagen, KIA, Hyundai and other brands, the prices for their cars were raised by the German auto giant BMW. Moreover, the increase affected the entire BMW model range for the Russian market. This is reported by the AutoNews portal with reference to the press service of the Bavarian automaker.
In an official press release, BMW says that the change in suggested retail prices will affect all cars of the brand produced from September 1, 2021. On average, new BMW cars will rise in price by 1.8% from next month. It is noted that the previous prices for cars produced after the specified date will only be retained for already confirmed customer orders. The only exceptions are the crossovers BMW X5 and X6, both local internal and imported, their prices increase, including for customer orders. In addition to the price changes, BMW plans to adjust the available configurations for individual models. What is the reason for this decision, the representatives of the Russian office of BMW do not specify.
