How was the Blue Origin flight that took Katy Perry to space?
BUE Origin’s New Shepard rocket fired the engine at its base around 10:30 am to take off from the Western Texas launch platform in the United States.
A few minutes after the launch, the rocket thruster separates from the crew capsule to start its controlled descent and make a vertical landing, so that it can be reused on future flights of the company – a practice that reduces space travel costs.
The crew capsule continued to climb toward the space, providing a few minutes of zero gravity for passengers.
Upon starting the descent, the crew capsule opened a set of parachutes and landed safely in the middle of the desert in Texas.
