Puerto Rico (US area in the Caribbean) was left without electricity today due to the unexpected interruption of energy stations across the island, according to General Manager Genera. The easternmost island of the Archipelago of the Great Antilles is often affected by a power outage, such as the blah blah in the dark on New Year’s Eve, as Puerto Rico’s infrastructure collapses. Genera reports in a post on the X platform (formerly Twitter) that she is making efforts to operate backup units, while exploring the causes of the blah. Luma Energy power provider informed that the damage occurred around 12:40 (local time, 19:40 in Greece) and had not been repaired almost two hours later. “We will provide updates as soon as more information is available on the causes of the interruption and the estimated time to restore electricity,” said Puerto Rico Jennifer Gonzalez.
