Recall that a Bitcoin node is any computer that stores the entire blockchain and runs the BTC implementation, validating each block and transaction before adding them to the network.

There is no reliable data on how many Bitcoin nodes actually exist on the planet right now. However, from the observations of Bitstamp experts, it follows that from 10,000 to 15,000 computer devices with this function are working all over the world at the same time.

Despite the state ban on cryptocurrency mining in China, there are still dozens of available bitcoin nodes operating in the country. According to the latest data from the analytical platform Bitrawr, there are more than 60 devices operating in China.

Recently, the Beijing People’s Court stated that China’s ban on cryptocurrency trading only applies to the use of digital assets as currency. At the same time, cryptocurrency should be considered as virtual assets, and not as independent money.
