In his new position, Khomyakov will have to work to improve the presentation of products to potential clients, promote Binance’s educational initiatives, and also develop “fiat sales channels.”
“Kirill’s appointment is in line with Binance’s commitment to growing its local presence, demonstrating a commitment to building trust with users and developing strong partnerships in these key markets,” the official statement said.
Khomyakov has held various leadership positions at Binance since 2021. Until this day, he worked as general manager for Central and Eastern Europe.
“I am very pleased with the opportunity to contribute to the expansion of the industry and develop efforts in more regions,” Khomyakov himself rejoiced at the appointment.
Earlier, two top managers responsible for the region left the Binance cryptocurrency exchange. Binance’s director in Eastern Europe, Gleb Kostarev, and director in the CIS, Vladimir Smerkis, announced their resignation.
Binance has faced a string of executive departures amid litigation in Europe and the United States. Recently, the CEO of the French division of the cryptocurrency exchange, Stephanie Cabossioras, announced that she was leaving her post.
