The president of the United States, Joe Biden, defined this Tuesday (14) as “good news” the deceleration of North American inflation on an annual basis in January, but recognized that “there is more work to be done” so that the country achieve price stability.
In a statement, Biden reiterated that as the planet’s largest economy transitions toward more stable economic growth, setbacks may occur.
“That’s why my unwavering focus is to continue to reduce costs for families, rebuild our supply chains and invest in America,” he said.
The Democrat took the opportunity to criticize the Republican opposition, whom he accuses of acting to reverse economic progress. “Today’s data reinforce that we have made historic advances and are on the right path, and now we need to finish the job”, he highlighted.
