A man identified as the number two in the Cabana do Pai Tomás drug trade, in the West region of Belo Horizonte (MG), was arrested in a mega-operation in the Complexo da Maré (RJ) carried out last Tuesday (3). At the time of the arrest, ‘Chavosinho’, who was a fugitive from justice, made a live broadcast on social media crying.
According to information from Itatiaia, the operation that arrested ‘Chavosinho’ resulted in three deaths and seized seven rifles, five pistols, drugs, ammunition and grenades. The Special Police Operations Battalion (BOPE) participated in the operation. In addition, with ‘Chavosinho’, another 12 people were arrested.
At the beginning of this year, identified as three members of the faction, ‘Riquinho’ died in a confrontation with Rotam soldiers. He was ‘Chavosinho’s’ security guard and the Civil Police investigation indicates that the number two in the drug trade was the mastermind behind the crime.
The member’s arrest took place in an area dominated by the Terceiro Comando Puro faction, the TCP. In Minas Gerais, the TCP’s number one is Rafael Paraíba, known as Parazão. ‘Chavosinho’ is considered the criminal closest to Rafael.
Live crying
At the time of his arrest, ‘Chavosinho’ did a live broadcast in which he can be heard crying out for help. “Help me, Jesus, help me,” he says in part of the broadcast. In the background, screams from local residents can be heard.
