Belarus is strengthening its border with Ukraine after a security incident and deployed a division with multiple launch missile systems to test its combat readiness, the Belarusian Defense Ministry announced today. Belarus’ border service earlier said it was beefing up border security, noting in a statement that its personnel shot down a drone on Wednesday that had illegally crossed the border from Ukraine to collect intelligence on infrastructure on the Belarusian border. Earlier this week, the border agency said hidden improvised bomb materials were found in the same area.
