BC postpones the release of exchange rate data and does not predict a new date

In another effect of the movement of mobilization of the servers, the Central Bank informed this Wednesday that the publication of the data referring to the movement of exchange in Brazil and the exchange operations of the monetary authority will not be made this day 30 of March.

This time, the BC also did not say when the disclosure will take place and said only that it will inform when a new date is defined.

The president of the BC Employees National Union (Sinal), Fábio Faiad, confirmed that the delay is related to the movement of servers, as had already occurred last week, when exchange rate data, normally published on Wednesdays, at 2:30 pm , were only known on Friday (25).

Other important publications have also been delayed, such as the Focus Bulletin and the announcement of the daily ptax rate.

This Monday (28) BC employees approved an indefinite strike starting on April 1, in search of career restructuring and salary recomposition of 26.3%.

Earlier on Wednesday, the Sign released a note threatening a more severe strike, if the federal government decides to raise only federal police officers. According to the union, this could lead to the total or partial interruption of Pix, the dissemination of the Focus Bulletin and “various fees”, as well as the functioning of open market operations.

On Thursday, a meeting should take place, probably with the BC Administration Board, to define which services are essential and should be maintained during the strike. In the union’s understanding, for example, Pix is not an essential service.

In practice, the system would work without maintenance, with poor monitoring, which could lead to interruption of services and greater risk of fraud, according to the union.

As shown by Broadcast (Grupo Estado’s real-time news system), the president of the Central Bank, Roberto Campos Neto, changed his position and started to defend the restructuring of the monetary authority’s careers within the government.

On Tuesday, in a meeting with the unions that represent BC servers, Campos Neto said that he participated in meetings at the Planalto Palace the day before regarding the restructuring of BC careers, including the salary readjustment, said Faiad.

According to him, Campos Neto said he will try a proposal at a ministerial meeting next week. “Whether you’re going to submit a proposal or not, we’ll see next week.”
