Two films, from two great studios, from two great directors and with great casts, hit theaters on the same day: July 20th. The pink world of “Barbie” will be in the room next to the explosion of “Oppenheimer“ . The date even got a name: “Barbieheimer” .
The productions have moved social media with fan dispute, memes and expectations. While some say “Barbie” will be a success at the box office, others are betting on “Oppenheimer” as film of the year.

Despite the internet dispute, the protagonists of the two plots support each other. Margot Robbie and the director of “Barbie” Greta Gerwig, published a photo in front of a passing movie theater “Oppenheimer” .
Cillian Murphy, who gives life to physicist J. Robert Oppenheimer in Christopher Nolan’s feature, said in an interview with La Vanguardia that he wants to watch the new production about the Mattel doll.
“I can’t wait to see Barbie. I adore Margot Robbie, I love Ryan Gosling, I want to see them now!”, she said.
“My advice would be for people to go see both on the same day. If they are good films, it is the cinema that wins”, she declared.
Seeking to please both audiences, some cinemas are offering a double session, making the “Barbieheimer” possible.
