The Brazilian Federation of Banks (Febraban) communicated this Wednesday (14), how the banks will work during this year-end period. According to the Federation, there will be no banking hours on December 30th, nor on the 24th, 25th, 31st and January 1st.
On Friday, December 23, business hours are normal both for customer service and for carrying out all banking operations requested by customers.
The Federation points out that payment cards and consumption bills (such as water, energy, telephone) due on the holiday can be paid without an increase on the next business day.
As provided for in the 2020 National Monetary Council Resolution, Saturdays, Sundays and national holidays are not considered business days for banking purposes and bank branches do not work on official holidays, whether municipal, state or federal, reminds Febrabran .
On January 2nd (Monday), banks will return to normal public service hours.
During holidays, the population will be able to use electronic means of banking service, such as mobile and internet bankingATMs, telephone banking and correspondents for financial transactions.
