Russian automotive giant AvtoVAZ has registered the Lada Aura trademark. This is evidenced by the documentation in the Rospatent database.
AvtoVAZ received the rights to the Lada Aura brand for ten years – until November 12, 2030 with the possibility of extending the rights. It is not yet clear what kind of new product AvtoVAZ will present under this name. The trademark belongs to the following classes of goods:
- 12 – vehicles; apparatus for locomotion by land, water and air;
- 28 – games, toys; devices for video games; gymnastic and sporting goods; Christmas decorations;
- 37 – construction; repair; equipment installation.
As we can see, Lada Aura may turn out to be both a new car model and a media system, a charging station or even a toy.
Interestingly, AvtoVAZ recently held a competition among motorists for the name for new car models. Four titles won it – Onega, Alta, Slava, Lika. Alta, Iskra, Mira, Avira and Sfera were also selected.
