Australia: Tragedy with three children dead from a house fire, on the outskirts of Sydney – The police are talking about a homicide

Three children, including a 10-month-old baby girl, died when a house fire broke out in Sydney in the early hours of this morning (local time; yesterday evening Greek time), in what Australian police said was being treated as a triple homicide by intention. Emergency services were called to a property in Laylor Park, about 35km from central Sydney, at about 01:00 (local time; 18:00 yesterday Saturday Greek time), police said. Two small boys, aged two and four, were given first aid at the scene, but succumbed after being taken to hospital. The 10-month-old girl was found dead inside the property after the fire was extinguished, police said. A 28-year-old man, who prevented police from entering the home, was arrested and treated for burns at a hospital where he has been admitted and is being treated under tight security.
