A 16-year-old girl was killed on Saturday in the west Australia, following a shark attack in a Perth river. The unfortunate girl was pulled out of the river with serious injuries and died before being taken to hospital, according to the police.
The 16-year-old jumped off a jet ski to swim with dolphins that appeared in the Swan River and was attacked by shark.

The last fatal shark attack in the state of Western Australia occurred in November 2021, when a 57-year-old man was killed by a great white shark in Port Beach, Perth.
A man was injured by a bull shark in the Swan River in January of that year.
More than 100 species of sharks live off the coast of Western Australia. However, it is not rare that sharks appear in rivers, several kilometers away from the coast.
On Australia’s east coast, popular Sydney beaches were closed last February after a swimmer died in a shark attack, the area’s first in nearly 60 years.
