An attack with Russian missiles to the city of Kharkiv, in northeastern Ukraine, killed one person and injured another 82, including six children, on Friday morning (18), authorities said.
The attacks destroyed apartment buildings, an educational institution and a company, according to emergency services.
“This is how Russia started Holy Friday-with ballistic missiles, cruise missiles, Shaheds-mutilating our people and our cities,” said Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky at X.

“Everything flew in every room, the windows shattered,” commented Inna Khrystych, one of the residents. “My husband died.”
Andriy Ponomarenko said he and his wife were awakened by the attack and ran to find their four -year -old daughter in the middle of smoke and glass.
“First we thought the blood was mine, but we found that she had a cut in her eye,” he said.
The Ukraine Foreign Minister said Russia launched four missiles against Kharkiv, three of them ballistic and fragmentation warheads.
“Russia is a terrorist machine. It will only stop if we confront it in full force,” added Andriy Sybiha, a day after meeting with US, France, Germany and the United Kingdom in Paris.
Ihor Terekhov, mayor of Ukraine’s second largest city, said the attack destroyed 15 apartment buildings based on preliminary information.
Russia and Ukraine agreed with a US-mediated moratorium on attacks on energy infrastructure last month, but both sides are mutually accused of violating it.
Zelensky said at a press conference in Kiev on Thursday (19) that in total Russia was launching the same number of missiles and drones against Ukraine as before the deal.
He stated that Russia reduced the number of attacks on Ukrainian energy facilities, but instead was attacking civil infrastructure.
A drone attack on Friday morning in Sumy (18), another city in the Northeast, also killed one person and injured another in an Easter cake factory, authorities said.
