A combined attack of Russian missiles and drones caused fires in various districts of the Ukrainian capital, Kiev, on the morning of Thursday, injuring 21 people, authorities said.
Mayor Vitali Klitschko said six fires were recorded in the Sviatoshynskyi district west of the city center, causing serious damage. About 21 people were referred to the hospital, including three children.
According to local authorities, some victims were trapped under the rubble.
In Kharkiv, Ukraine’s second largest city, 30 km from the Russian border, Mayor Ihor Terekhov said seven missiles reached a series of targets. The windows were broken in a residential building, but there were no injuries.
