Coordinator of the government program of president-elect Luís Inácio Lula da Silva (PT), former minister Aloizio Mercadante, will have one of the highest salaries for positions appointed by the Brazilian head of state. Mercadante was announced this Tuesday (13) as the president of BNDES (National Bank for Economic and Social Development) for the next government.

The salary exceeds R$ 80 thousand according to data released by the bank.
