At least 42 people have been killed in deadly floods in Germany

The death toll rose to 42 from the fierce rainfall and the killers floods in West Germany, according to a new report announced today Thursday (15/7) by the police and rescue services.

The district of Euskirchen (North Rhine-Westphalia) has been badly affected and 15 people have lost their lives there, the local police clarified, adding that “not all the bodies have been found yet”, as broadcast by APE-MPE.

According to a police spokesman, the situation remains unstable, while the victims have been located in various places. In the Antenau area, six houses were destroyed overnight and many more are considered unstable.

Police have repeatedly called on people to stay safe, warning of damaged roads and bridges, and urging locals to respect the efforts of rescue teams and not to obstruct their work.
