At least 26 killed in Israeli airstrike in southern Gaza Strip

At least 26 Palestinians were killed from an Israeli airstrike early Saturday in the town of Khan Younis, in the southern part of Gaza Stripas reported by Reuters citing the Palestinian News Agency (WAFA), which was also confirmed by the director of Nasser Hospital.

This airstrike, which took place in the Hamad district, also seriously injured 23 peoplehe explained to AFP.

Earlier, the Palestinian Red Crescent reported that at least five Palestinians were killed and two others were injured in an Israeli strike on the Balata refugee camp in the occupied West Bank.

The Israeli Armed Forces (IDF) have so far not confirmed this report.

The Al Jazeera network reports that an Israeli drone struck a building belonging to the Fatah party of Mahmoud Abbas, the president of the Palestinian Authority.

At least 186 Palestinians, including 51 children, have been killed by Israeli forces in the West Bank since October 7, when Hamas launched its unprecedented attack on Israel, according to UN figures. An additional eight Palestinians have been killed by Israeli settlers, while four Israelis have been killed in Palestinian attacks.
