At least 10 civilians were killed in a paramilitary attack in Khartoum

At least 10 civilians were killed and 11 others were injured during the attack launched today by paramilitaries in a district of Khartoumas reported by the French News Agency (AFP) citing the Sudanese militia.

“Shells hit houses, a mosque and a medical center” in Al-Shabrab district, in the northern part of Khartoum, a militia spokesman told AFP by telephone. “Ten civilians were killed and 11 others were injured by the strikes of the Rapid Support Forces (RSF)”, he explained.

About 7,500 people have been killed since it erupted on April 15 the power struggle in Sudan between General Mohamed Hamdan Daglo’s DTY and the armed forces under General Abdel Fattah al-Burhan, the de facto head of state after the 2021 coup, according to the latest assessment by the non-governmental organization ACLED .
