The platform (fuel pass 2) opens within the week for 3.1 vehicle owners who will be able to apply to receive the fuel subsidy which is expanded compared to the previous subsidy.
The amount for each beneficiary, who meets the new income criteria, is increased (by 15 euros) if they use a digital card and reaches up to 100 euros in the island regions. Specifically, the subsidy is granted in the form of an electronic card, which can be used at gas stations, while for those who do not have the ability to use a smartphone, the amount can be deposited into a bank account of their choice.
In order to receive the financial aid, the owners of the vehicles should, as mentioned above, meet the criteria defined by the provision, which, however, are expanded compared to the first cycle of the program with the aim of supporting as many as possible. Particularly:
-The petrol subsidy is granted only to natural persons including self-employed persons who are tax residents of Greece and own a car or motorcycle
-The individual income based on this year’s tax return amounts to 30,000 euros. This amount is increased by 3,000 euros for each family member. Thus, for a couple it reaches 33,000 euros, for one child 36,000 euros, for two children 39,000 euros, for three children 43,000 euros and so on with a maximum limit of 45,000 euros regardless of the number of children.
– The natural person should declare on the relevant platform on gov.gr that will be opened at the end of July the vehicle for which he receives the aid and on which he must have a certain percentage of co-ownership or a long-term lease contract. Each vehicle can be declared by only one natural person and each natural person can only declare one vehicle. It is a necessary condition that the vehicle is in traffic, that it is insured and that no road tax is due
– For those who choose to use a digital debit card, the amount of the aid is increased by 15 euros. Thus, the total amounts of the subsidy for the next quarter are formed according to the region and the type of vehicle as follows:
– 80 euros for a car owner in a continental area using a digital card and 65 euros without a card with the amount credited to the bank account
– 100 euros for a car owner in an island country using a card and 85 euros in a bank account
– 60 euros for a motorcycle owner in a continental area using a card and 45 euros in the bank account
– 70 euros for a motorcycle owner on the islands with a card and 55 euros to the bank account.
For motor diesel the “at the pump” subsidy will continue in July. August and September and will remain at 12 cents per liter and with VAT at 15 euros per liter.
