The long-awaited Apple Vision Pro hits the market and goes on sale this Friday (2). Until then, the device was offered for pre-sale. Units sold during this period will also begin to be delivered this Friday.
The device costs US$3,499 (about R$17,000) and will be sold in Apple's physical and virtual stores in the United States. There is no confirmed date for the launch of the product in Brazil.
The device, which resembles a virtual reality glasses, was classified as “Apple's first space computer”.
According to the North American technology company, the device promises to transform “the way people work, collaborate, connect, relive memories and enjoy entertainment”.
See details about Apple Vision Pro below.
How does it work?
The interface will be similar to iOS, and the device will have cameras and sensors that will allow users to interact and control the screens just by moving their eyes and hands, or by activating Siri.
The Apple Vision Pro will be powered by chips that process visual and audio information “eight times faster than the blink of an eye”, to give the impression that the designed experiences are happening in “real time”.
Users will be connected to an iPhone-sized battery that lasts about two hours.
What are the main responsibilities?
- Augmented and Virtual Reality
Apple's launch mixes the two technologies, making it possible to see “infinite” screens projected in any environment the person is in.
According to the company, it will be possible to completely immerse yourself in films, games, make video calls and “extremely realistic” meetings.
The device features 3D capture and allows you to view the content captured on the device in greater depth
In the “Photos” application, for example, the user can scale the content to view it in a larger size.
FaceTime has also been adapted for Apple Vision Pro and it will be possible to view the call in high definition in your environment, hearing the voices with spatial audio.
In addition, the possibility of having your own planetarium, building and reviewing engineering projects and even analyzing and examining human organs through applications was mentioned.
- Games
The device will have support for Apple Arcade applications. To play, the user will only need to connect a controller and the images will be projected onto the headset. This way, he can play from anywhere.

- Attachable prescription lenses
People who wear prescription glasses will be able to attach magnetic lenses while using the device. Apple has partnered with manufacturer Zeiss.
What applications are available?
According to Apple, the Vision Pro will have more than 1 million apps at launch. But most of them are apps that already run on other Apple platforms, such as iPhone and iPad, such as:
- Microsoft Teams;
- Word;
- Excel;
