The brand of Dyson vacuum cleaners launched a feature in its application that points out the places on the floor that still need work cleaning . O CleanTrace uses the cell phone's augmented reality technology to detect where it hasn't been cleaned yet.
Scheduled to launch in June, the MyDyson app tool will only work in integration with the Gen5detec wireless vacuum cleaner and on iPhone 12 Pro cell phones and newer models.
During use, the application will show purple bands on the cell phone screen that will identify where the user still needs to clean. Dyson will also sell a stand so that it is not necessary to hold the smartphone while using the vacuum cleaner, but prices have not been disclosed.

Augmented reality will be used using Lidar scanners, which are only implemented in models starting with iPhones 12. It is not yet known whether the functionality will be available for other models of vacuum cleaners or cell phones.
