Elected twice Best Pastry Chef in the world by The Best Chef Awards, Antonio Bachour officially disembarks in São Paulo to sign the menu for future operations at the complex City Matarazzo .
The result of the partnership will be reflected in the creation of menus in Mata Café by Bachour which will be present in the group’s projects.
To get a taste of what lies ahead, the first initiative begins this Thursday (5), with a Mata Café concept store in Oscar Freire, within the residential project Allard Oscar Freire designed by Alexandre Allard founder of Cidade Matarazzo.
“We are certain that Bachour’s creations will bring new senses and flavors to the São Paulo gastronomic experience, giving São Paulo residents the chance to enjoy an innovative and exclusive signature for the first time,” says Allard in a statement.
Currently, Bachour, who is Puerto Rican and based in the United States, has three signature restaurants. There are two in Miami, the Bachour by Antonio Bachour in Coral Gables, and the Table by Antonio Bachour in Design District; and one in Mexico, the Bachour Merida in the city of Mérida.
Last year, the chef was in São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro for a series of gastronomic events.
Hospitality Brand
Allard Oscar Freire, the building in which Mata Café by Bachour will operate, is the first venture of Alexandre Allard’s new hospitality brand, which includes residences and hotels.
Inspired by Brazilian modernism, the 33-story building with 20 residences is designed by Allard and architect Arthur Casas.
Eight floors will be dedicated to well-being and gastronomy, also accessible to non-residents, which includes three restaurants , a bar spa, swimming pool, bungalows and a curation of art and fashion.
