Annualized CPI for does not reach estimates and reaches 0.3% in November

  • The UK CPI increased 0.3% year-on-year in November compared to the + 0.6% expected.
  • The UK monthly CPI reaches -0.1% in November compared to the + 0.1% expected.

The 12-month rate of the consumer price index UK CPI has reached + 0.3% in November compared to + 0.7% in October, below expectations of + 0.6%, the UK Office for National Statistics (ONS) reported on Wednesday.

Meanwhile, the inflation indicator Core CPI (excluding volatile food and energy prices) reached + 1.1% year-on-year last month compared to + 1.5% in October, without reaching the forecast of + 1.4%.

Monthly figures showed that UK CPI consumer prices reached -0.1% in November versus expectations of + 0.1% and 0% previously.
