Anitta says she already has 60 songs ready for her next album in 2024

At the age of 30, the funk artist Anitta continues with full focus on her career and said she has 60 songs ready for her next album.

In an interview with “InStyle” magazine, the artist said that the curatorship process is long. “We are trying to understand which is the best path for these songs”, said Anitta.

For fans already waiting for news, the Brazilian will soon release the single “Grip”, a track paying homage to another type of funk, known as “Miami Bass”.

“It’s more about the beat, instrumental and production than the lyrics. I wanted to show how Brazilian funk doesn’t have many lyrics and many meanings. It’s just sexual stuff,” she explained.

Scheduled for 2024, the singer’s next album is an entirely carioca funk project.

“We need to have real people to feel authentic, to feel like I’m doing something more than just [usar] culture,” he explained.

Anitta also added her desire to be part of the future of baile funk. “A lot has already changed in Brazil. It’s no longer considered a crime, it plays on the radio, plays in clubs, things that didn’t happen in the beginning. So, for me it’s already a big victory”, celebrated the artist about funk.

“Funk Generation: A Favela Love Story”

Taking funk to the world, the artist, chosen with the “Best Latin Music Video” award at the VMA 2023, relived a delicate moment in her personal life.

According to her, the single “Used To Be”, which is part of the “Funk Generation” project, arose from something serious, when, in 2022, she faced serious health issues.

“I had problems with my lungs, I had cancer. I spent months in the hospital. Nobody could figure out what I had,” she recalled.

With that, he began a journey of spiritual treatment after a shaman was recommended. “I came back completely changed,” she said.

When the battery of tests was repeated, she was inexplicably cured. Thus, the hit came as a way to talk and reflect on the ups and downs, literally an emotional rollercoaster.

Look at the feat in the area

For lovers of a good feat, Anitta is currently working on two collaborations. In one of them, titled “Where I Want To Be”, she shares vocals with Sam Smith, talking about a “fun and relaxed relationship”. In fact, the visuals were filmed on Brazilian streets during Carnival.

Meanwhile, the second partnership is with singer Chlöle Bailey, in “A Girl Like Me”. “She is one of my greatest friends in America, and we did [a música] because I [penso] in her like a sister,” he added.

Duality of fame

As the Brazilian’s career expanded, so did the challenge of walking between Anitta and Larissa, her given name. To deal with duality, the answer is a lot of therapy. “It’s like two different humans in one body,” she said.

There is also a desire on her part for the character Anitta to evolve into something “a little less explosive and a little less boring. Because I think Anitta is a big bitch.”

For Anitta, fame prevented her from having everything, which causes a certain frustration. “Right now, I want to have a family and stuff, but this character won’t let me,” she admitted.

Criticisms about bisexuality

Still in the publication, the singer recalled that, in 2018, in the Netflix series “Vai, Anitta”, she shared her intimacy with the public and commented on being bisexual.

“The reason why I opened up about it is because in Brazil there was a lot of criticism and a lot of taboos about it”, he clarified.

A few years ago, she was drunk and kissed a girl she liked at a party in front of everyone. “It was a lot of work for my security to go there and ask people to delete the photo, because they would say I had kissed the girl and I would lose the brand’s business,” she said.

However, the desire was to speak openly about his sexuality. “Even Larissa or Anitta, both are not hypocrites. That’s something I’m not, in both characters,” she stated.

“Some people say I’m a ‘fake-bi’ because I’ve never dated a woman long-term. But come on, even my relationships with men don’t last more than three months,” she concluded about criticism that she was a “club bisexual.”
