The board of the National Electric Energy Agency (Aneel) approved this Tuesday (29), the average readjustment of 19.30% in the tariffs of Equatorial Piauí, which operates in the 224 municipalities of Piauí. The new values come into effect from December 2.
For consumers served at high voltage, such as industries, the average increase will be 24.98%. As for low voltage consumers, such as residential ones, the increase will be 17.89%.
As explained by Aneel’s technical area, the difference between consumer classes reflects the high CDE usage and costs of the basic network, which affect more consumers served at high voltage.
Among the economic components considered to reach the average increase, the contribution of 4.61% of the energy purchase item stands out, while the transport item contributed with 2.83%. Sector charges contributed with 2.78%. The financial components, in turn, had a negative impact of 4.03%.
